If a client tells you that when you come to do her newborn session that grandma, auntie, and two cousins ages 4 months and 3 years will be there along with her other two children ages five and two and a half, well let’s just say you expect there to be some chaos. Imagine my surprise then that when I arrive the house is absolutely peaceful. The children are all contented and quiet and the adults are relaxed and friendly. In fact this was probably the most peaceful newborn session I can remember. The kids were so perfectly behaved that I was amazed. I mean, I am the mom of five kids so I know chaos and I know well behaved and these were very, VERY well behaved children. What a delight! Not to mention the utterly adorable and perfect little newborn, baby girl “R” who spent most of her time sleeping sweetly. And then to top it off Grandma did some mending that was needed on one of my newborn hats! Thank you grandma!! 
So it was about as close to perfect as a newborn session can get. Thank you all so much for inviting me into your home and into your lives for the day. I truly enjoyed myself. I hope you enjoy your little peek of your beautiful new little girl.

This precious first child, first grandchild, first niece is finally here! You may remember those two maternity sessions posted entitled Waiting for Rhylie parts one and two. I expected nothing less than this gorgeous little girl from two such beautiful parents. Baby Rhylie was as sweet as can be but showed us exactly what she thought of having a photo session. Peed every chance she got. No one was exempt. Mom, dad or this photographer. LOL. Lots of laundry to be done after. But who cares? I would do it all again just to have the chance to snuggle this little doll baby. Of course we will remind her of this sometime in the future. Speaking of the future, all those who are parents especially know that the future comes all too quickly and before we know it our little babies are toddlers, then starting school and in a blink of an eye they are graduating and growing up and away from us. So mom and dad, enjoy every minute with your sweet daughter and I hope these pictures will bring a smile to your face not only now but in the years to come.

Only four days old. So fresh. So new. So beautiful. Words cannot express enough what a privilege and gift it is to be asked to capture moments of a baby’s first days. I am truly honored to be part of this time in a family’s life. Thank you family of Miss V for inviting me into your home. I really enjoyed myself and I hope you enjoy this sneak peek of a few of the images from that day.

And really this next shot should be an out-take but I couldn’t resist posting it. Dad is a big Detroit Tigers fan but I am sorry to say that it doesn’t appear that his daughter is. This is what baby V thinks of the Detroit Tigers. LOL. Maybe if we used a Braves jersey instead?

This baby has the cutest little face! Love her button nose and pretty eyes! I did Mom’s maternity pics last month and was so happy to return to do baby girl’s newborn pics. We began our session with a perfect sleepy baby but half way through baby girl showed us exactly who was the boss. LOL. We still managed to get some very sweet shots though. I can’t believe that it was over a year and a half ago that I did big brother’s newborn pictures. What a pleasure it was to visit this growing family again and capture these images for them of both of their adorable boys. Big brother wasn’t feeling so great this day but he was still very sweet and cooperative. Both of these boys are just soooo cute I wish I could have scooped them up and taken them home. This lucky baby is part of a beautiful, beautiful family. I could not believe that mom had just given birth to her fourth baby. She looked fantastic! I was sooo jealous. LOL. Baby girl’s older siblings are about the most beautiful and well behaved children you could meet. Each one of them was a joy to spend the afternoon with. Thank you so much to all of you for putting up me with me all day and then giving me dinner and a delicious dessert! It was yummy and very much appreciated.

I think I fell in love yesterday when I had the sweet pleasure of photographing this little man. Oh goodness he is a sweetheart. I loved every minute with him and his wonderful family. He was one of the more mellow babies I have encountered (and that includes my own! LOL). He was so willing to model some hats for us. From this perfect belly came this perfect little boy. Oh my is he cute. And oh so tiny. Only 5 pounds 4 oz at birth. As if being ever so cute isn’t enough he is ever so sweet and mellow on top of it all. I could have held him forever. Mom and Dad I can see why you are totally over the moon with your new little boy. Snowstorms tried to keep us from getting Miss B’s newborn pictures taken but we found a window of good weather and made our way over the mountains. Little Miss B proved to be a feisty girl and wanted things her way but we persevered and managed to get some lovely shots. She is an adorable baby with gorgeous big eyes. Oh I just love newborns. sigh..

If there is such a thing as a perfect pregnant belly I believe this is it. Isn’t this just every woman’s dream that when they are pregnant to be slim everywhere except for a perfectly round belly. I have to say I am jealous.
Congrats to this wonderful couple on expecting their first baby. What an exciting time it is to become a parent for the first time. Enjoy your last few weeks of pregnancy. Baby will be here before you know it. I hope you like your sneak peek. I wish we could have done more outdoor ones but it was waaaay too cold.
And I just had to include this last one which is really more of a snapshot but I just had to try and capture a moment of the parents to be with their two dogs (who are just so sweet). These dogs have oodles of energy so it wasn’t easy getting them to stand still for a moment.
