So what do you do when you have adorable twin boys only 15 months following the birth of your beautiful daughter? Go crazy, did you say? Hmmm. Yep. There is probably a bit of that.  But what you really need to do is take pictures! Why? Because of the going crazy part. How else between diaper changing times three and no sleep for what feels like forever will you ever be able to remember these days? Because believe it or not, even though these days may make you feel like you are on some kind of wild amusement park ride  you will want to remember them. They will be gone in a flash and your babies will be grown before you can blink your eyes.  You will want to remember how small and perfect your babies are. How they fit into your arms and your heart like they were specially made for them (and they are).  You will miss these days.  I promise.

I have to say that these are some of the most beautiful babies I have seen.  This was such a perfect session and babies were the easiest twins I have photographed thus far. And before I go on I absolutely must  give a big huge enormous gigantic thank you to Julie of Jellie Beanz Photography for her expert help. No way I could have done this session without her. No way.  Oh and if you want to see big sister’s newborn session that was just a bit over a year ago take a peek here.  Mathis is going to be the best big sister ever. I am amazed at her maturity for being a baby still herself.

Introducing Harrison and Owen. Twin baby boys extraordinaire.  :-)

And what do you do when the posing isn’t perfect but all three babies are in the frame? You click the shutter. You click the shutter now. And then you are just happy that you achieved what you thought would be impossible. A perfectly imperfect image… or two…or three.

THE END!   :-)  :-)  :-)

I was so happy that fellow photographer friend Julie of Jelliebeanz Photography asked me to assist her with some newborn twins. We had a great time shooting together and snuggling these two sweeties. Brother was impressively bigger than his delicate sister. This first image of the two of them together makes that really clear. Both babies were just so beautiful and I have to admit that I was reluctant to hand them back to mom and dad when the session was over.  Thank you Julie for letting me have fun with you that day!

Typically I am behind in my blogging (like waaay behind) but I think you will forgive me this time after you see some of these images from this beautiful family’s session. Sweet little Mathis Rose is the new addition and mom and dad (grandmas too) are understandably over the moon crazy over her. She is absolutely one thousand percent adorable. No make that  ADORABLE with caps. Really love this baby and this family. In fact I am over the moon crazy about all of them. They are such fun clients.  I had so much fun getting to know them and capturing these images for them. I can’t wait to see them all again when we do Mathis’ six month session.  How much she will have changed during these next months. Enjoy!

As promised here are some images of the newborn session from the maternity that I posted just below. This little baby boy was a special treat for this family after having three beautiful girls. Oh this precious baby is such a doll. You can tell already that he will have big eyes and beautiful features just like his sisters. How blessed this family is….even if they are a bit sleep deprived at the moment.  For the most part we got a lot of this: dsc_4161-bw-web
But thankfully we did get bits of this inbetween all of that.
Being close to his gorgeous mama makes him happy. Can you blame him?
Baby in daddy’s arms and hands are some of my very favorite images to capture. Look how comfortable little Tate is.
Sibling shots with a newborn are some of the most difficult images to capture so this shot here is the icing on the cake. It may be difficult to believe but not more than 10 minutes before this shot these girls were outside riding bikes and playing. They came in all sweaty and looking like they were having fun. Thanks to Aunt Carla who very quickly got them changed and cleaned up and helped settle them into this pose. It helps that these are girls are so sweet and cooperative. Oh goodness what a beautiful little family this is.

This little princess was such a sweet little thing. With her adorable bit of red hair and mellow personality I could have cuddled her all day. Isn’t she just so sweet? And look at her beautiful brothers and sister! You can see how proud and thrilled they are to call this sweet girl their sister. Thank you mom and Aunt Bethany for getting the room very, VERY warm. It was the magic touch that helped Abbygail sleep sweetly.

Eleven days new. So fresh. So perfect. Tiny toes and fingers just as delicate as you can imagine.  She is so sweet. I could have cradled her in my arms all day. Thank you Mom, Dad and Zach for letting me spend the day with you. For putting up with an uncomfortably hot house. For moving furniture. For the tall glasses of ice water. For the tiny diapers for my little girl to use on her baby dolls. For moving my van closer during the pouring rain.  But most importantly, for letting me be a small part of your life during a most magical, special time. Here is a little peek of some of the images captured. I hope you enjoy them.

Call me crazy but even after having five children I still would love to have twins. So it was a double treat for me to meet these two precious little ones. They are such beautiful babies (boy and girl) born full term and positively perfect.  I loved how mom and dad were just bursting with pride over their children and rightfully so. They are gorgeous! I owe a huge thanks to fellow photographer Julie of Jelliebeanz Photography . She is very talented and I could not have done this shoot without her help. One newborn is an incredible amount of work to photograph let alone two so I am very thankful to have had an extra set of hands. And also a big thanks to mom, dad and grandma for their patience, trust and willingness to help. I had a wonderful time and wish you all the best with your new little ones.  Here is just a peek at what we captured. Enjoy!

Mom wanted to get some shots of babies with the blankets that their great grandma made. Each blanket was beautiful and I know they are a treasure.

One week old. It doesn’t seem right to say “old”.  A one week old is anything but “old”. So pure. So fresh. So new. So perfect. What an incredible pleasure it was to spend the afternoon with this little doll. She is soooo beautiful and round and so delightfully squishy that I could just swoon.  Thank you for letting me capture some of your earliest moments with your little princess.  I hope you enjoy your little sneak peek from that day.

My last blog post was a photo of a little one week old baby girl who was really not into having her pictures taken. She may have won that battle but after going back for a re-shoot last week I feel like I can say I have won the war. :-) She is a little diva though. Usually once a baby is posed we can “tweak” the shot by fixing small details to perfect the pose/shot. This little one would appear to be in a deep sleep but as soon as we would touch her her eyes would open and she would fuss. But we just kept working at it and managed to capture some lovely images of this beautiful tiny girl. Notice though in the shot of her looking over daddy’s shoulder. She lets us know exactly how she feels about being the star of a photo session. LOL.  And look how gorgeous mom is! No Photoshop magic was necessary at all on this beautiful new mom.  Life is so not fair, is it?   :-)

And guess who won? Yep, you guessed it…the tiny little girl.  I rarely have to go back and do a re-shoot on a newborn session. Rarely. Even the tougher sessions where it takes quite a bit longer for baby to settle, I can still get a lot of beautiful images. But this time, this little one would have none of it. Oh she is cute though. Later this week I will go back armed with a plan so this photographer can win the war against this perfect, tiny, sweet, little girl. Until then, here is the one image that I was able to capture that I love. Stay tuned and next week expect a great update with many more photos. :-) I will be victorious! LOL.
