Eleven days new. So fresh. So perfect. Tiny toes and fingers just as delicate as you can imagine. She is so sweet. I could have cradled her in my arms all day. Thank you Mom, Dad and Zach for letting me spend the day with you. For putting up with an uncomfortably hot house. For moving furniture. For the tall glasses of ice water. For the tiny diapers for my little girl to use on her baby dolls. For moving my van closer during the pouring rain. But most importantly, for letting me be a small part of your life during a most magical, special time. Here is a little peek of some of the images captured. I hope you enjoy them.

Call me crazy but even after having five children I still would love to have twins. So it was a double treat for me to meet these two precious little ones. They are such beautiful babies (boy and girl) born full term and positively perfect. I loved how mom and dad were just bursting with pride over their children and rightfully so. They are gorgeous! I owe a huge thanks to fellow photographer Julie of Jelliebeanz Photography . She is very talented and I could not have done this shoot without her help. One newborn is an incredible amount of work to photograph let alone two so I am very thankful to have had an extra set of hands. And also a big thanks to mom, dad and grandma for their patience, trust and willingness to help. I had a wonderful time and wish you all the best with your new little ones. Here is just a peek at what we captured. Enjoy!

Mom wanted to get some shots of babies with the blankets that their great grandma made. Each blanket was beautiful and I know they are a treasure.

One week old. It doesn’t seem right to say “old”. A one week old is anything but “old”. So pure. So fresh. So new. So perfect. What an incredible pleasure it was to spend the afternoon with this little doll. She is soooo beautiful and round and so delightfully squishy that I could just swoon. Thank you for letting me capture some of your earliest moments with your little princess. I hope you enjoy your little sneak peek from that day.

My last blog post was a photo of a little one week old baby girl who was really not into having her pictures taken. She may have won that battle but after going back for a re-shoot last week I feel like I can say I have won the war.
She is a little diva though. Usually once a baby is posed we can “tweak” the shot by fixing small details to perfect the pose/shot. This little one would appear to be in a deep sleep but as soon as we would touch her her eyes would open and she would fuss. But we just kept working at it and managed to capture some lovely images of this beautiful tiny girl. Notice though in the shot of her looking over daddy’s shoulder. She lets us know exactly how she feels about being the star of a photo session. LOL. And look how gorgeous mom is! No Photoshop magic was necessary at all on this beautiful new mom. Life is so not fair, is it?

And guess who won? Yep, you guessed it…the tiny little girl. I rarely have to go back and do a re-shoot on a newborn session. Rarely. Even the tougher sessions where it takes quite a bit longer for baby to settle, I can still get a lot of beautiful images. But this time, this little one would have none of it. Oh she is cute though. Later this week I will go back armed with a plan so this photographer can win the war against this perfect, tiny, sweet, little girl. Until then, here is the one image that I was able to capture that I love. Stay tuned and next week expect a great update with many more photos.
I will be victorious! LOL.

And what a beautiful baby! She is just the perfect little baby doll with her darling head full of dark hair and the perfect little chubby legs and dainty hands. I wanted to take her home with me she was just so cute. But don’t let those adorable, sweet, darling looks deceive you. She was one stubborn little girl.
This little miss had her mind on only one thing for most of the time I was there…and that was mama. She just couldn’t get enough of her mama so we did the best we could for a few minutes here and there when she kind of sort of slept through a few poses.
Ahhh but she is so cute it just made up for it all. Thanks mom and dad! Keep my number if you ever need a babysitter! Enjoy this little peek of your session.

If a client tells you that when you come to do her newborn session that grandma, auntie, and two cousins ages 4 months and 3 years will be there along with her other two children ages five and two and a half, well let’s just say you expect there to be some chaos. Imagine my surprise then that when I arrive the house is absolutely peaceful. The children are all contented and quiet and the adults are relaxed and friendly. In fact this was probably the most peaceful newborn session I can remember. The kids were so perfectly behaved that I was amazed. I mean, I am the mom of five kids so I know chaos and I know well behaved and these were very, VERY well behaved children. What a delight! Not to mention the utterly adorable and perfect little newborn, baby girl “R” who spent most of her time sleeping sweetly. And then to top it off Grandma did some mending that was needed on one of my newborn hats! Thank you grandma!!
So it was about as close to perfect as a newborn session can get. Thank you all so much for inviting me into your home and into your lives for the day. I truly enjoyed myself.
I hope you enjoy your little peek of your beautiful new little girl.

This precious first child, first grandchild, first niece is finally here! You may remember those two maternity sessions posted entitled Waiting for Rhylie parts one and two. I expected nothing less than this gorgeous little girl from two such beautiful parents. Baby Rhylie was as sweet as can be but showed us exactly what she thought of having a photo session. Peed every chance she got. No one was exempt. Mom, dad or this photographer. LOL. Lots of laundry to be done after. But who cares? I would do it all again just to have the chance to snuggle this little doll baby. Of course we will remind her of this sometime in the future. Speaking of the future, all those who are parents especially know that the future comes all too quickly and before we know it our little babies are toddlers, then starting school and in a blink of an eye they are graduating and growing up and away from us. So mom and dad, enjoy every minute with your sweet daughter and I hope these pictures will bring a smile to your face not only now but in the years to come.

Only four days old. So fresh. So new. So beautiful. Words cannot express enough what a privilege and gift it is to be asked to capture moments of a baby’s first days. I am truly honored to be part of this time in a family’s life. Thank you family of Miss V for inviting me into your home. I really enjoyed myself and I hope you enjoy this sneak peek of a few of the images from that day.
Introducing Miss V!

And really this next shot should be an out-take but I couldn’t resist posting it. Dad is a big Detroit Tigers fan but I am sorry to say that it doesn’t appear that his daughter is. This is what baby V thinks of the Detroit Tigers. LOL. Maybe if we used a Braves jersey instead?

This baby has the cutest little face! Love her button nose and pretty eyes! I did Mom’s maternity pics last month and was so happy to return to do baby girl’s newborn pics. We began our session with a perfect sleepy baby but half way through baby girl showed us exactly who was the boss. LOL. We still managed to get some very sweet shots though. Thanks for letting me capture some of your first moments with this little beauty! Enjoy your sneak peek.
Look at the little smile! Mom is pretty talented and made this adorable cocoon that baby is in.

This little bunny hat was knitted by my talented mother-in-law. Thanks Mom!
