I love maternity sessions. It is so fun and exciting to be a small part in the excitement during the last weeks of pregnancy. I felt an instant connection with this mom. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that we both are crazy about the color purple. Or maybe because we both enjoy cooking and learning about natural remedies. Or maybe it was because she is just a really, really nice person. It was just so easy and comfortable spending time with her and her adorable son and easy-going husband. The yard was full of beautiful flowers and there were hammocks under the trees. Such a peaceful and lovely environment. But yet again, I had to deal with some scary thunder and a few bolts of lightning. My stars I do attract the storms. Despite the threatening storms we had a great time and I love the images I captured. I hope you all enjoy them too. I can’t wait to see you all again when your little girl has arrived. It won’t be long now.
Look how adorable Zach is with that beautiful head of red curls.

Doesn’t she have the perfect belly?

I have known this mama for quite a few years now… before she graduated high school, before she could drive, before her husband, and before she became a mom. It makes me so happy to see her with her little family now. A devoted husband, a darling little boy and a baby girl on the way (soon!). What more can we ask for? So it is with a smile on my face that I put up this new blog post. I can’t wait to see this baby girl because if she is even half as cute as her big brother she is going to be sooooo adorable!!

Pickles and ice cream cravings is no old wives’ tale. Okay, so maybe it isn’t always pickles and or ice cream but it is always something. I remember craving Olive Garden salads with my boy pregnancies. I almost single handedly put Olive Garden out of business. I just could not get enough of it and kept those waitresses running for refills. I also remember wanting to drink Squirt soda…that grapefruit soda. And then with my girls it was chocolate. Anything chocolate. I always had at least a half gallon of organic chocolate milk in my refrigerator and my family knew never ever to touch it. No one should ever be so foolish as to get between me and my chocolate…especially when I was pregnant. But collard greens? This was a new one for me. Oh wait! Not for me!! No. I am NOT the one pregnant. Don’t want to start that rumor going around. But this gorgeous, glowing young woman here is pregnant and she craves collard greens. We just had to capture a few images for her with those beloved collard greens.
I had such a wonderful time with this beautiful couple. They were so kind and gracious and I can hardly wait to see them again and do their newborn session. I just know he is going to be a doll baby.
Enjoy your sneak peek!

Waiting…but not for long I am sure. From what mom told me it sounds like baby will be here very soon. And who of us who have had babies have had the good luck to look this good when so close to delivering? Goodness she looks like a super model!! Such a beautiful mom to be! I hope you like your sneak peek. I know it won’t be long until we see each other again.

You can imagine my delight when I was met at the door by these two gorgeous, adorable girls and their beautiful mom (who is expecting baby girl number 3 soon). What a lucky daddy that lives in this home to be surrounded by these beautiful girls. I had such fun spending some time on a late summer afternoon with them. I can’t wait to meet the new baby girl soon. What a wonderful life she will have with these two sweet girls as her big sisters.
I hope you enjoy this little sneak peek of our session.

Have you ever seen a more perfect belly?

Remember the first session I had some weeks back with these beautiful parents-to-be? You can find it here. Well we finally got to their “studio” session and here is a little sneak peek of the fun we had. This mom is sooo beautiful and has the most perfect skin. I am so jealous of her tan. I look downright sickly next to her.
Rhylie should be here in a few weeks and we are all anxiously awaiting her debut. Stay tuned for her newborn session. We know she is going to be beautiful. How can she not be with such a gorgeous family line behind her?

Soon to be three generations here. Beautiful women!

This baby is so lucky to have these two as her parents. They are so much fun and so beautiful and so perfect for each other. I can only imagine how beautiful Rhylie is going to be. I can’t wait for her arrival so I can do her newborn session. I predict she will have big beautiful eyes, perfect lips and a head full of gorgeous dark hair.
Actually this is only part A of their maternity session. We will be doing part B in a few weeks and most of that will be shot indoors. So stay tuned for those pics.
I hope you enjoy your sneak peek. I know you had to wait a bit for it. Thanks for your patience.

A new baby sister is on the way to this family. Soon to be “big” sister can hardly wait! When I arrived at their home I was thrilled with the 12 acres of fields in their “backyard”. Plus an old barn! Happy photographer!! LOL. I had such wonderful time with this family and I can’t wait to meet the new little girl soon. I hope you enjoy your little peek of your session. Thanks for letting me spend the afternoon with you.

Beautiful “big” sister who is as sweet as can be!

This one was processed with a “vintage-y” effect.

From this perfect belly came this perfect little boy. Oh my is he cute. And oh so tiny. Only 5 pounds 4 oz at birth. As if being ever so cute isn’t enough he is ever so sweet and mellow on top of it all. I could have held him forever. Mom and Dad I can see why you are totally over the moon with your new little boy. He truly is perfect. Thanks for letting me spend the day with you. I really enjoyed it. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.
