Yesterday in North Carolina it felt decidedly like Spring had arrived. Today, not so much. And later this week we have a possibility of a rain/snow mix. So much for Spring weather it seems. But I am sure that it will arrive and soon blossoms will be bursting forth and the birds will sing and the sun will shine and children and dogs will run crazy circles in the yard. And it will stay around for a while. I promise. So plan now to celebrate that with a mini session. I am offering a 30 minute session (outdoor only) with five digital files (delivered via download), and a release to print to your heart’s content for only $250. This is good for a group of up to 6 persons but does not include the newborn session. Anyone that has been around a newborn session knows that a mini would be impossible. hehe. This would be great for a family session or a baby or a mommy and me or a maternity session. And dads listen up….mom would love this as a gift. You would be her super hero. And on the flip side I bet it would make everyone’s heart happy to have a daddy and me session. Just sayin…
I will be scheduling only a limited amount of these minis….my spring is already quite busy. So don’t delay in reserving your spot now. More fine print: the $250 fee must be paid for at least two weeks in advance of the session and the session must take place on or before May 15, 2014. You will be provided with a gallery of at least 10 images from which to choose your five digital files. Location for session will be outdoor and within 15ish miles of Tryon, NC.
So don’t delay. Spring will be here. Really it will. It will. It will. Keep repeating that and carry on.

This is a combination maternity and family session and is actually the third time I have worked with them. The first was a maternity also. And the second was for the newborn of their youngest girl. I can’t tell you how happy I was when I got an email from mom that she was expecting again (a boy this time after three girls). They are all so beautiful and so easy to work with that I pretty much did a happy dance to hear the news. This is still a catch up blog post because I am still quite a bit behind. Enjoy the pics and stay tuned because I will be posting some pics from their newborn session very soon too.
Isn’t mom just the most gorgeous pregnant woman?

Maybe it is that I am getting older or maybe it is that I have been spoiled the past 15 years by North Carolina’s usually mild winters but whatever the reason I hate this cold and snow spell we have had this year. I can’t wait for the temps to get back in the 50′s again where they belong in December. So even though we froze while we did this shoot a couple of days ago, you could still feel the warmth between these two. I felt like I had known them forever; it was just so comfortable spending time with them. Next time though…let’s be sure it is just a smidge warmer outside. Actually I can’t wait to work with you both again. Here is your a little peek at some of your pics. I hope you enjoy this as much as I am sure you enjoyed your Mexican dinner and jumbo Dos Equis on Tuesday.

This was a bit of a departure from my usual sessions of babies or children. But what a treat for me! These two were so easy to work with and lots of fun. Made me feel old though….I am old enough to be one of their parents! Yikes! Now that is old! LOL.
We had a beautiful afternoon with highs in the low 70′s and that beautiful blue sky that made me first fall in love with North Carolina.
K and J….I hope you enjoy this sneak peek. I will have your gallery ready within 2 weeks. Thanks for such a nice and refreshing afternoon! I really enjoyed myself with both of you.
