Eleven days new. So fresh. So perfect. Tiny toes and fingers just as delicate as you can imagine. She is so sweet. I could have cradled her in my arms all day. Thank you Mom, Dad and Zach for letting me spend the day with you. For putting up with an uncomfortably hot house. For moving furniture. For the tall glasses of ice water. For the tiny diapers for my little girl to use on her baby dolls. For moving my van closer during the pouring rain. But most importantly, for letting me be a small part of your life during a most magical, special time. Here is a little peek of some of the images captured. I hope you enjoy them.

I cannot believe that six months has already passed since I did the newborn photos for this little Miss. Oh how they change in that short time. Now she is sitting and even loving to walk while holding onto mom and dads hands. Poor mom and dad are going to have an early walker on their hands I think.
As usual, my summer outdoor sessions always seem to involve some crazy threat of a bad thunderstorm and this time was no exception. We had to take cover as the rain just poured down and the skies were dark. We waited it out though and managed to get some more shots in albeit on some very wet ground. Cayman took it all in stride. She is such a doll baby but no matter what we all did we could not get a big smile out of her. Such a serious little girl when the camera comes out. Still adorable and beautiful though. What a wonderful age six months is! Enjoy this sneak peek of our rainy day mom, dad, and grandparents. Thank you mom for being so well prepared and bringing so many props and darling outfits. And thanks Grandpa for being our chauffeur around the campus.

“A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost.” ~Marion C. Garretty
I first worked with this family a bit over a year ago to do mom’s maternity pictures. That was followed up with a newborn session and now a year later we did a “sisters” session. With birthdays only weeks apart big sister just turned five and baby sister turned one recently. These two girls put a smile on my face. What beautiful faces they have! With the bluest eyes and the prettiest blond hair they look like beautiful dolls. Baby sister is walking so I was anticipating a challenging session. What a pleasant surprise to find that she was a very cooperative walking one year old. No chasing was necessary.
I loved this hay field behind their home. Such an inspiring place with the late afternoon sun. Enjoy this little peek at our afternoon together.

Call me crazy but even after having five children I still would love to have twins. So it was a double treat for me to meet these two precious little ones. They are such beautiful babies (boy and girl) born full term and positively perfect. I loved how mom and dad were just bursting with pride over their children and rightfully so. They are gorgeous! I owe a huge thanks to fellow photographer Julie of Jelliebeanz Photography . She is very talented and I could not have done this shoot without her help. One newborn is an incredible amount of work to photograph let alone two so I am very thankful to have had an extra set of hands. And also a big thanks to mom, dad and grandma for their patience, trust and willingness to help. I had a wonderful time and wish you all the best with your new little ones. Here is just a peek at what we captured. Enjoy!

Mom wanted to get some shots of babies with the blankets that their great grandma made. Each blanket was beautiful and I know they are a treasure.

One week old. It doesn’t seem right to say “old”. A one week old is anything but “old”. So pure. So fresh. So new. So perfect. What an incredible pleasure it was to spend the afternoon with this little doll. She is soooo beautiful and round and so delightfully squishy that I could just swoon. Thank you for letting me capture some of your earliest moments with your little princess. I hope you enjoy your little sneak peek from that day.

I have known this mama for quite a few years now… before she graduated high school, before she could drive, before her husband, and before she became a mom. It makes me so happy to see her with her little family now. A devoted husband, a darling little boy and a baby girl on the way (soon!). What more can we ask for? So it is with a smile on my face that I put up this new blog post. I can’t wait to see this baby girl because if she is even half as cute as her big brother she is going to be sooooo adorable!!

My last blog post was a photo of a little one week old baby girl who was really not into having her pictures taken. She may have won that battle but after going back for a re-shoot last week I feel like I can say I have won the war.
She is a little diva though. Usually once a baby is posed we can “tweak” the shot by fixing small details to perfect the pose/shot. This little one would appear to be in a deep sleep but as soon as we would touch her her eyes would open and she would fuss. But we just kept working at it and managed to capture some lovely images of this beautiful tiny girl. Notice though in the shot of her looking over daddy’s shoulder. She lets us know exactly how she feels about being the star of a photo session. LOL. And look how gorgeous mom is! No Photoshop magic was necessary at all on this beautiful new mom. Life is so not fair, is it?

And guess who won? Yep, you guessed it…the tiny little girl. I rarely have to go back and do a re-shoot on a newborn session. Rarely. Even the tougher sessions where it takes quite a bit longer for baby to settle, I can still get a lot of beautiful images. But this time, this little one would have none of it. Oh she is cute though. Later this week I will go back armed with a plan so this photographer can win the war against this perfect, tiny, sweet, little girl. Until then, here is the one image that I was able to capture that I love. Stay tuned and next week expect a great update with many more photos.
I will be victorious! LOL.

So what do you do with twin one year old boys who are both walking? How do you dodge the bright sunlight, get good eye contact, keep them in one place AND keep them happy? Well, to be honest we probably didn’t really accomplish all of that but we did have fun trying.
Poor Mr. Q was just not feeling it that afternoon as he was still recovering from a cold. He wanted only to be in Mama’s arms. Mr. R was more content but so serious that I could just not get a big smile out of him. So we put them in a wagon…which worked for a couple of minutes. Then we tried a little chair. Hmmmm. That worked for a couple of seconds. So when all else fails enlist Daddy to pick them up and hold them.
Despite the challenges it was really a fun time getting to know this family and these adorable little boys. They were so sweet and so loved. I hope you enjoy this little peek of our sunny afternoon together.

Okay so not really any puppy dog tails here. However, there is one adorable boy to put up on my blog today. I had the sweet pleasure of photographing Little Mr. B again. I did mom’s maternity and then did his newborn pics when he wasn’t even two weeks old. I just love when I get to see “my” babies again and be amazed at how much they have grown and changed in what seems like the blink of an eye. Little Mr. B was still one of the most mild tempered and sweetest baby boys around. He was so happy when we set him down on the ground to play with the leaves. So quietly he would contemplate them before popping one in his mouth.
He was such a doll and so nice to photograph. So easy to see why he is so adored by mom and dad. Here is a bit of a peek at our session. I hope you enjoy it!

So every time that mom would hold him I would think, Oh! he looks just like her! But then when dad would hold him I would think, Oh! he looks just like him! LOL. So what do you think, does he look more like mom or dad?
