Waiting for Baby Sister {Asheville NC Maternity Photography}
Posted on April 30, 2013
I am finally getting around to blogging this beautiful family’s maternity session. I had the sweet privilege of shooting big sister’s newborn session three years ago. I cannot believe how the years have flown by! Now she is one of the brightest little girls I have encountered. What fun to talk with her and marvel at how well spoken she is. I think it is quite apparent in her photos just how much personality she has. I loved photographing her. Look how gorgeous this family is while they are waiting on baby sister to arrive. What a lovely day this was. Enjoy!

Baby Times Two {Asheville NC newborn twins photography}
Posted on April 14, 2013
I was so happy that fellow photographer friend Julie of Jelliebeanz Photography asked me to assist her with some newborn twins. We had a great time shooting together and snuggling these two sweeties. Brother was impressively bigger than his delicate sister. This first image of the two of them together makes that really clear. Both babies were just so beautiful and I have to admit that I was reluctant to hand them back to mom and dad when the session was over. Thank you Julie for letting me have fun with you that day!

Baby Love {Asheville Newborn Photography}
Posted on April 8, 2013
Typically I am behind in my blogging (like waaay behind) but I think you will forgive me this time after you see some of these images from this beautiful family’s session. Sweet little Mathis Rose is the new addition and mom and dad (grandmas too) are understandably over the moon crazy over her. She is absolutely one thousand percent adorable. No make that ADORABLE with caps. Really love this baby and this family. In fact I am over the moon crazy about all of them. They are such fun clients. I had so much fun getting to know them and capturing these images for them. I can’t wait to see them all again when we do Mathis’ six month session. How much she will have changed during these next months. Enjoy!

The Little Prince [Asheville Newborn Photography]
Posted on January 17, 2013
As promised here are some images of the newborn session from the maternity that I posted just below. This little baby boy was a special treat for this family after having three beautiful girls. Oh this precious baby is such a doll. You can tell already that he will have big eyes and beautiful features just like his sisters. How blessed this family is….even if they are a bit sleep deprived at the moment. For the most part we got a lot of this:
But thankfully we did get bits of this inbetween all of that.

Being close to his gorgeous mama makes him happy. Can you blame him?

Baby in daddy’s arms and hands are some of my very favorite images to capture. Look how comfortable little Tate is.

Sibling shots with a newborn are some of the most difficult images to capture so this shot here is the icing on the cake. It may be difficult to believe but not more than 10 minutes before this shot these girls were outside riding bikes and playing. They came in all sweaty and looking like they were having fun. Thanks to Aunt Carla who very quickly got them changed and cleaned up and helped settle them into this pose. It helps that these are girls are so sweet and cooperative. Oh goodness what a beautiful little family this is.

Fun Maternity Session [Asheville Family and Children Photography]
Posted on January 13, 2013
This is a combination maternity and family session and is actually the third time I have worked with them. The first was a maternity also. And the second was for the newborn of their youngest girl. I can’t tell you how happy I was when I got an email from mom that she was expecting again (a boy this time after three girls). They are all so beautiful and so easy to work with that I pretty much did a happy dance to hear the news. This is still a catch up blog post because I am still quite a bit behind. Enjoy the pics and stay tuned because I will be posting some pics from their newborn session very soon too.

Isn’t mom just the most gorgeous pregnant woman?

I am soooooo far behind on blogging that I have to accept that I just won’t get it all done at this point. But I will try to catch up a bit and I just had to post some pics of this little guy. Oh my goodness at just four months old here he could stop traffic with this adorable face. I am so crazy about this cutie pie. Mom and dad are so blessed to have Micah in their life. Here are a few of my favorites from this session.

Eighteen [Asheville North Carolina Senior Photography]

Oh to be 18 again. And beautiful. I love working with teens and graduating seniors. This pretty girl already graduated high school and is now taking college courses and has a busy schedule. I am so happy that she found some time to let me capture her beauty during this wonderful time of her life. This is just a quick peek into that session. There are a few more blog posts planned that will include more.

Forever Sisters; Forever Friends [Asheville Baby and Children Photography]
Posted on July 7, 2012
I have always held it against my parents that they never gave me a sister. To this day I am jealous of those that have sisters. I imagined that a sister would be someone that would be closer than a best friend. Someone to share dresses, nail polish and favorite shoes with. Someone that would keep my secrets safe. Having a sister would be like having a slumber party every night. Of course those of you that have sisters will probably tell me that it is nothing like that at all. That there are endless quarrels and jealousy and sharing favorite things was unheard of. Well, just let me have my fantasy, okay?
Here are two girls who will surely live up to what my imagination always told me having a sister would be like. I love these two little girls. This is the fourth session that I have had with this family so they have a special place in my heart. This day was soooo very overcast which made shooting a tiny bit challenging. But in the end I think we pulled it off and had a really great time. Mom drove over an hour here and when they were ready to leave we cleaned the girls up and put them in their jammies sure that they would be fast asleep within minutes after getting buckled in. The next day mom told me that they never slept a wink until they got home in their beds. In fact, she said they talked to each other all the way home. See? I told you having a sister is a cool thing.
Big sister was turning six years old so I got six balloons for her. Well, wouldn’t you know it, one of the balloons completely deflated. So just pretend she has six balloons.

Little sister was turning two so she had two pretty pink balloons.

Is it a girl thing or what? The putting our hands on our hips. Totally girl.

Abbygail [Asheville Newborn Photography]

This little princess was such a sweet little thing. With her adorable bit of red hair and mellow personality I could have cuddled her all day. Isn’t she just so sweet? And look at her beautiful brothers and sister! You can see how proud and thrilled they are to call this sweet girl their sister. Thank you mom and Aunt Bethany for getting the room very, VERY warm. It was the magic touch that helped Abbygail sleep sweetly.

A Special for You.
Posted on February 2, 2012
Here in the Carolinas we have been having a run of some gorgeous weather. I mean extra special beautiful fill your heart with joy gorgeous. It makes me happy and makes me want to spread a little happiness so I decided to run a little winter special. With every paid session fee receive a $60 print credit to use when you order. Maternity and newborn sessions are excluded from this offer (sorry). So if you have been thinking of booking a session but keep putting it off (because let’s face it…life gets in the way somtimes, doesn’t it) put it off no longer and get in touch with me and reserve your session now. So go ahead and hit the “Contact” button above and give me a call or email. (Also I can give you all the “fine print” of this offer.) If you like we can get together over coffee or tea (and a yummy sweet) and we can talk about your dream photos for you and your children. Don’t put it off because this offer ends on March 1, 2012 (although your session can take place anytime before June 1, 2012). Let’s hope this lovely weather will last but if it doesn’t, that’s okay because spring is just around the corner. This is after all the Carolinas. :-)
And it would be almost impossible for me to have a post without a photo. Just one this time but stayed tuned for more of what I have been working on.

What a beautiful session. Big sister is such a cutie and will be an amazing big sis I am sure
What a lovely session, I love the one of the little girl laying down in the grass. If it was my little girl I’d get that printed HUGE! These parents are going to have their hands full when their pretty girls are teenagers!
